Best Time to Post on Instagram in Kuwait and the Gulf: Reels, Carousels and Stories

On Instagram the big studies agree more than they do on TikTok, but they still give different hours, and none of them measured Gulf audiences on their own. Here is what five large 2025 and 2026 studies found, by day and by format, and how to turn them into a schedule you test on your own account in Kuwait and the Gulf.

Buffer analysed 9.6 million posts from more than 200,000 accounts between January 2024 and December 2025 (published September 2026). Wednesday was the best day, followed by Thursday and Tuesday, and Friday and Saturday were the weakest. The three best slots were Thursday at 9 a.m., Wednesday at 12 p.m. and Wednesday at 6 p.m. Buffer says the times already apply to your own time zone.

Sprout Social (March 2026) also found Tuesday and Wednesday the strongest and the weekend the weakest, with windows of Monday 2 to 4 p.m., Tuesday 1 to 7 p.m., Wednesday 12 to 9 p.m. and Thursday 12 to 2 p.m. Hootsuite, from more than a million posts localised to 118 countries, names Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and warns against before 8 a.m. and after 10 p.m. SocialPilot, from 7 million posts, found 7 a.m. the best single time, and Tuesday and Wednesday the best days.

The format matters as much as the hour. Buffer found reels do best in the evening, between 6 and 11 p.m., on Wednesday and Thursday, carousels at Wednesday 12 p.m., Wednesday 6 p.m. and Thursday 9 a.m., and stories work best posted once or twice every day. Metricool, from 24.4 million posts (June 2026), found reels get more than four times the interactions of single images, carousels nine times the saves, and single-image reach down 22% on the year before.

What this means in Kuwait and the Gulf: every study that ranks the days puts the middle of the week ahead of the weekend, but they name days of the week, and the weekend in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman is Friday and Saturday, while in the UAE it is Saturday and Sunday. The only Gulf figure published is one line from Hootsuite: Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. in Arabia Standard Time, with no sample size given. Treat it as a test, not a rule. Hours need no converting, because the studies use each account's local time.

Your own account beats every study. In Instagram's insights, a public account with at least 100 followers sees the times its followers are most active. Habits also shift in Ramadan, expected to begin around 8 February 2027 depending on the moon sighting, and there is no reliable published data on Instagram's Ramadan hours in the Gulf, so check your insights in its first week and move your schedule.

In Rawwij, your best day to post is worked out from your own account's engagement, and your best hour on Instagram from your own posts once there are enough of them; until then it shows the platform's usual peak. You schedule reels, carousels and stories for those times in your workspace's time zone, and they publish on their own.
