1. Overview
You have full control over your data. You can request deletion through any of the three methods below.
Most deletions are completed within minutes. In all cases, we guarantee complete removal (including from backups) within 30 days of your request. You will receive a confirmation email at the address registered to your Rawwij account once your data has been deleted.
This page describes user-facing deletion. For automated platform integrations (e.g., when you revoke Rawwij's access from your Facebook settings), Meta and other platforms call our /api/meta/data-deletion webhook, which removes your connected social account and cached profile data from our database.
2. Method 1 — Delete from inside Rawwij
The fastest way to delete your data is from within the Rawwij app:
1. Sign in to your Rawwij account at rawwij.com 2. Open Settings → Account 3. Click "Delete my account" 4. Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears
Your account, posts, connected social accounts, and analytics are removed from active systems immediately. Your data is purged from our backups within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once the full purge is complete.
3. Method 2 — Email our privacy team
If you cannot access your account, prefer email, or want to confirm the deletion in writing:
1. Send an email to privacy@rawwij.com 2. Use the subject line "Data Deletion Request" 3. Include the email address associated with your Rawwij account 4. Optional: tell us why so we can improve
We respond within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been removed.
4. Method 3 — Revoke from Facebook, Instagram, or Threads
If you only want to disconnect a specific platform (rather than deleting your entire Rawwij account), revoke access from that platform's settings:
1. Open Facebook (or Instagram / Threads) settings 2. Go to Settings & privacy → Apps and websites 3. Find "Rawwij" in the list 4. Click "Remove" or "Revoke access"
Meta automatically notifies Rawwij through our deletion webhook. We delete the connected social account and any cached profile data from that platform within 30 days.
If this was your only login method and you have no other connected accounts, your Rawwij account is also deleted automatically. Otherwise, your Rawwij account remains active with the remaining platform connections.
5. What data gets deleted
When you request deletion, we remove:
• Your Rawwij account: email, name, password hash, profile picture • All connected social media accounts and their OAuth tokens • Posts, schedules, and content you created in Rawwij • Analytics and insights we collected from your connected platforms • Media files you uploaded to the Content Library • Team memberships and roles tied to your account • Subscription history (anonymised after the legal retention period)
Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. Make sure to export anything you want to keep before requesting deletion.
6. What data is retained
A small set of records is kept after deletion to comply with applicable law:
• Financial transaction records: retained for up to 7 years as required by Kuwait tax and commercial law • Anonymised, aggregated analytics that cannot be linked back to you • Records of the deletion request itself (date, confirmation code): retained for compliance audit
These retained records contain no personally identifying information after the anonymisation step, except where law specifically requires identifiable transaction records.
7. Timeline
• Active systems: minutes after the request • Database backups: within 30 days • Confirmation email: sent immediately on completion (or within 2 business days for email requests)
If you do not receive a confirmation within 30 days, contact us at privacy@rawwij.com and we will investigate within 2 business days.
8. Questions or issues
If your deletion request was not completed within 30 days, or you have any other concerns about your data, email privacy@rawwij.com. We respond within 2 business days.
Under Kuwait law and the EU GDPR (for European users), you also have the right to file a complaint with your data protection authority if you are not satisfied with our handling of your request.
