1. Overview
You have full control over your data. You can request deletion through any of the three methods below.
When you delete your account in Settings, we hold it for 7 days so you can change your mind, then erase it and email you to confirm. If you would rather not wait, you can erase it immediately instead. Backup copies are deleted within 90 days.
This page describes user-facing deletion. For automated platform integrations (for example, when you remove Rawwij from your Facebook settings), Meta notifies us through our deletion callbacks, including /api/meta/data-deletion, and we remove that connected social account and the analytics we hold from it.
2. Method 1: Delete from inside Rawwij
The fastest way to delete your data is from within the Rawwij app:
1. Sign in to your Rawwij account at rawwij.com 2. Open Settings → Security 3. Under "Delete account", click "Delete my account" 4. Optionally tell us why you are leaving, then click "Delete it"
We hold your account for 7 days, then erase it. Until then it works normally, your scheduled posts are on hold, and you can cancel from the same page or from the link in the email we send you. We remind you again 3 days before the date.
If you would rather not wait, click "Or delete it now" on the same page and enter your password. An account that signs in with Google has no password, so it gets a 6-digit code by email to enter instead. Your account is erased immediately.
Erasing removes your account, posts, library, analytics and connected social accounts, and disconnects Rawwij from those platforms for you. We email you once it is done. Backup copies are deleted within 90 days.
If you own a team that has other active members, hand ownership to someone else on the Team page first.
3. Method 2: Email our privacy team
If you cannot sign in, or would rather ask by email:
1. Send an email to privacy@rawwij.com 2. Use the subject line "Data Deletion Request" 3. Include the email address associated with your Rawwij account 4. Optional: tell us why so we can improve
We reply within 2 business days, and your account is erased within 7 days of your request. Backup copies are deleted within 90 days.
4. Method 3: Revoke from Facebook, Instagram, or Threads
If you only want to disconnect a specific platform (rather than deleting your entire Rawwij account), revoke access from that platform's settings:
1. Open Facebook (or Instagram / Threads) settings 2. Go to Settings & privacy → Apps and websites 3. Find "Rawwij" in the list 4. Click "Remove" or "Revoke access"
Meta notifies Rawwij automatically, and we delete that connected account and the analytics we hold from it as soon as the notice arrives. Backup copies are deleted within 90 days.
This removes that one connection only. Your Rawwij account stays open, along with any other platforms you have connected. To close the account itself, use Method 1 or Method 2.
5. What data gets deleted
When you request deletion, we remove:
• Your Rawwij account: email, name, password hash, profile picture • All connected social media accounts and their OAuth tokens • Posts, schedules, and content you created in Rawwij • Analytics and insights we collected from your connected platforms • Media files you uploaded to the Content Library • Team memberships and roles tied to your account • Subscription history (anonymised after the legal retention period)
Once your account is erased, this cannot be undone. If you want a copy, download it first from Settings → Preferences → Export My Data. The download starts straight away.
6. What data is retained
A small set of records is kept after deletion to comply with applicable law:
• Financial transaction records: retained for up to 7 years as required by Kuwait tax and commercial law • Anonymised, aggregated analytics that cannot be linked back to you • Records of the deletion request itself (date, confirmation code): retained for compliance audit
These retained records contain no personally identifying information after the anonymisation step, except where law specifically requires identifiable transaction records.
7. Timeline
• Deleting in Settings: your account is held for 7 days, then erased • Choosing "Or delete it now": erased immediately • Asking by email: erased within 7 days of your request • Database backups: copies are deleted within 90 days • Emails: when a deletion is scheduled, we email you at once and again 3 days before the date, each time with a link to cancel. When an account is erased from Settings, including with "Or delete it now", we email you to confirm
If your account still exists after the date it was scheduled for, contact us at privacy@rawwij.com and we will investigate within 2 business days.
8. Questions or issues
If your account was not erased on the timeline above, or you have any other concerns about your data, email privacy@rawwij.com. We respond within 2 business days.
Under Kuwait law and the EU GDPR (for European users), you also have the right to file a complaint with your data protection authority if you are not satisfied with our handling of your request.
